Performing a Factory Reset / Hard Reset LG GW550 Mobile Phone

A full reset is sometimes referred to as a hard reset. Perform a full reset when you want to clear all settings, programs and data from RAM.

Caution if you perform a full reset, your LG GW550 returns to its default settings and looses all information that is not recorded in ROM.

To perform a factory (hard) reset:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Hold the send and end call buttons.
  3. While pressing the send and end call keys, press the power button on top of the phone till the phone starts to vibrate.
  4. Release the power button, wait till the phone vibrating stops, then release the send and end call keys. Then wait a few minutes for the procedure to finish.

Please note, once you have selected 'factory reset' in the service menu, the phone will immediately delete all data. So be sure you have a backup of any important data.
