Performing a Hard Reset on a HTC HD Mini
A full reset is sometimes referred to as a hard reset. Perform a full reset when you want to clear all settings, programs and data from RAM.
Caution if you perform a full reset, your HTC HD Mini returns to its default settings and looses all information that is not recorded in ROM.
Performing a hard reset through phone settings.
- On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap Security > Factory reset.
- Enter “1234” and then tap Yes.
Performing a hard reset using the phone buttons.
- With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
- Then press the POWER button shortly and release it. You will then see a message on the screen warning you that the operation will delete all your personal data and reset all settings to manufacturer defaults.
- Once this message appears, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
- Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
