Performing a Normal (Soft) Reset on a Asus MyPal a636

A normal reset is sometimes referred to as a soft reset. A normal reset stops all running applications but does not erase any programs or saved data.

Caution be sure to save any unsaved data before performing a normal reset since a normal reset erases all unsaved data.

To perform a soft reset:

  1. Press the tip of the stylus on the switch to reset the system.

Performing a Hard Reset on a Asus MyPal a636

A full reset is sometimes referred to as a hard reset. Perform a full reset when you want to clear all settings, programs and data from RAM.

Caution if you perform a full reset, your Asus MyPal a636 returns to its default settings and looses all information that is not recorded in ROM.

To perform a hard reset:

  1. Press and hold the power buttonwhile you press the tip of the stylus on the reset switch.

NOTE: A hard reset will erase data that are in processing and recover the device back to the default clock setting. Make sure to back up your data first before performing a hard reset.

  1. Whereas to perform a clean boot, press the Speaker (-) button while simultaneously pressing the Mode Switcher button and pressing the stylus on the reset switch. This willrecover the device back to factory default settings.
