Performing a Hard Reset on a Acer neoTouch P400

A full reset is sometimes referred to as a hard reset. Perform a full reset when you want to clear all settings, programs and data from RAM.

Caution if you perform a full reset, your Acer neoTouch P400 returns to its default settings and looses all information that is not recorded in ROM.

To perform a hard reset (clean boot):

If your screen is responding to stylus input:

  1. Tap Start, next Utilities, and then Default Settings.
  2. Read the warning information and enter the security code in the empty textbox. Tap OK to proceed.

If your screen is not responding to stylus input:

  1. 1. Hold the Volume up and Volume down buttons while pressing reset until the screen shows Clean Boot.
